Model Overview
With the Recipe of BMW finest driving M3's, a straight six and a manual gearbox, the Alpina B10 3. 3 engine is derived from the earlier US specification 'E36' M3, with a top end reimagined by Alpina and lightweight pistons to produce a performative 280HP. Lighter, sportier and more balanced than the B10 4. 6 and other V8 iterations of the 'E39' 5 Series, the 3. 3 is comfortably in the same league for speed, but further benefits over it's heavier alternatives for involved and engaged drivability. With all the same suspension changes and styling equipped on the B10 V8, the 3. 3 is for the keen enthusiast wanting a unique and exotic performance saloon, with the agility from BMW signature formula.
History & Highlights
Only 112 Alpina 3. 3 Saloon's reached the UK, with this example being excellently well specified in 'Individual' Blau II Metallic, pairing with a notably rare cloth seated, Alpina patterned interior. Supplied in the original Alpina wallet, is the 'Alpina Owners Handbook and Specification', all supporting manuals, and a full service history with an abundance of further invoices and maintenance, the majority with main dealer till current. Paying homage to attentive ownership, this example is factory correct and complete in a remarkably well kept condition 26 years on, retaining the essence and integrity that Alpina evolved from the 5 Series B10, all the way down to key rings and dealership stickers. The odometer reads 119, 206 Miles, but once driven and inspected, this B10 gives any low mileage alternative a run for its money - a benefit to higher mileage examples that have been exceptionally maintained throughout.
Preparation
Prepared to an exceptional standard, this Alpina 3. 3 has been enhanced to its full potential. Exterior - the paintwork benefits from a full 3 stage machine polish and coating, removing any swirls and imperfections. All trim and plastic's are protected with 'Gtechniq C4'. All Alpina 18" Alloys and Caps have been freshly refurbished. The exhaust tips have been metal polished. Interior - All carpet, floor mats and cloth seats have been deep cleansed with advanced compressed air tools, followed by a full wet-vacuum extraction. Trim is cleaned with compressed air tools and protected in a non-gloss, factory finish coating. The engine bay has been lightly cleaned to retain an honest condition.
